Default vette fuel rail covers on a GTO.. DONE!

i believe i'm the first to do so. i did these a couple weeks ago... just been super lazy and haven't posted them here.

thanks to stoleit for planting the idea to do this...

i got the FRCs free from some vette shop in sanford.
paint, primer, and body filler was free.
the decals were free as well.

i sprayed 2 coats primer, 2 coats BMW imola red paint, applied the decals, and 2 coats clear.

Yeah really, headers look like they would be a walk in the park to install...

Looks real nice. Yeah, the stock GTO covers are way to bulky and square.
Did you have to make any cuts or move anything around to make them fit or were they are direct "snap on". Could we get a pic of the driver's side too?

Looking good, do you still have your GTO FRCs?

i had to make a notch in the left one to clear the throttle body bracket. i also didn't like how the right one was rubbing against that hose (near the intake manifold) so i ground that a little to clear it better. for the most part, it was a direct snap on. the fuel line doesn't line up to the holes in the right one like in the vette... it comes directly out the back so it's causing the back portion of the right side one to not click down on the coil pack screw.

i still have the stock FRCs but i'm painting those too, just to have a spare set in case the nice vette ones get ruined somehow. they're in the process of being sanded... i really haven't had time to get going on these.

Hmmm, ..., That driver's side with the slots & nothing coming out of'em looks kinda odd tho, ...

Might have been better to use the later versions with only one slot, & fake it by installing some dummy line thru there, ...

Looks nice tho, different.
