has to be matte to be berger. otherwise its just a painted back pannel. i like mine, i just think im going to go back and paint in "camaro" on it in white. originaly i was going to fill in the "Camaro" along with the trunk keyhole... i think it would give it a nice clean look.. i dont know about on a black car though..

I have a red Z and I'm going for the gloss black look with some stainless steel fill-ins for the lettering.

Got a black car here too, I'm just filling in camaro and I've removed the ss badges, I'm going to put a 60's style chrome SS in the center of the panel

On a black car, it looks like someone painted the car, but forgot to spray the panel.

Dunno, maybe I'm just .

Whenever i get some time i'm doing a matte or gloss (haven't decided) black panel, filled in, with some kind of center mounted emblem.

Does anyone have a pic of a gloss black panel on a white or lightish colored car?

It all depends on the car. I personally only like berger style panels on red or white cars, any other color looks really out of place. I especially like the filled back panel, body matched with old school emblems in the center.

I've seen the matte ones in person around here and they look like ***. Nobody exept an enthusiast even knows what a Berger is anyway, and if it isn't a Berger who cares about the tail panel? If you're going to do it, make it gloss black with plenty of clear, other than that it looks like a po' boy did it with BBQ paint!

It does look good on red and white cars, but my favorite is on pewter and silver cars. Just fits perfect IMO.

i'm a little partial to satin w/filled letters , i added the '69 emblem to make mine a little different.
