Default Fuel Rail Covers

Has anyone used c5 fuel rail covers on thier LS1 camaro or bird? I know they have to be modified some to fit. The only reason Im asking is because i bought a pair not knowing these exact ones would not fit. I know someone makes specific ones to fit the f body but they are 195$ I picked mine up for 60 bucks. any pics would help also. thanks

No C5 covers will fit out of the box. They all have to be cut. The guys that sell them start with Corvette covers and cut them. Your paying for their knowledge. They also fill in the "CORVETTE" lettering, paint and decal them. You can do it yourself if you have the time and skills.

I bought mine pre-cut from a fellow board member last year. He stopped selling them, so you'll have to cut them yourself. Then I filled in the lettering and painted them to my liking. By the way....this belongs in the Appearance forum.

c5 covers will fit but youll have to cut them a little.its not that hard to do,just try fitting them in your car and you will see where you have to trim.

Heh, Good job, ...
But you must have left the fuel lines under the driver's side cover tho huh?
You must not have cut the second slot either then.
Make sure your AIR tubes aren't stuck underneath of them & holding them up also.
And did you take off the throttle cable bracket on the driver's side of themanifold, or just bend it out of the way?

More photos! Front view, & a little furher back from the engine compartment also.

Your driver's side FRC appears to be bulged a little from lines left underneath. Other than that, the fit looks really good (especially the drivers side where it meets the intake manifold).
