http://www.dupont.com/safetyglass/en...ite/index.html stuff most oem windshields have to improve reflection. kit came with lame square tinted film to stick on windshield. I skipped out, and as a result the viewing during the day is pretty dim in direct sunlight. I've always said one day I'll film the windshield, but the dim view hasn't been a big enough problem to make me do it. Been in the car for a few years now.

thanks! I know it's probably a little time consuming getting the hole cut in the right place, but other than that it looks like the only modification you had to do was cut a hole in your dash board to allow the VSD to sit flush with it. Any other major things you had to do?

Just the hole. I've had my dash pad covered in cloth which made it more forgiving cosmeticaly when cutting the hole. And the metal under the pad had to be prettied up a little with more cloth. The hardest part was getting that little box just right for a good angle. The windshield is so rounded it took a wierd placement to get it right. When you look at the display piece from outside the car, you can see it looks all cockeyed, but the reflection turned out good.

I have the silver MacEwan gauge overlays. I spent the extra money to have the flaming bird and "WS6" put on there but within 3 days the "stickers" shriveled up and fell off of the overlay. I was pissed when I had to take it all apart and clean out the little pieces of bird sticker out of there!

just installed these 3 days ago....got em off of ebay ($20 shiped for the bezel and $20 shipped for the guages) they're silver face reverse glow gauges. you can brighten or dim the glow, and change it from blue to greenish color. i added a little blue z28 decal just to make it more original i guess.
