White enging bay
I did a search but couldn't turn up quite what I wanted. I'm looking at sprucing up my engine bay but would like a few pics of some white bays so that I can get some ideas. Anyone?

If your bay is real bad try some GUNK engine cleaner, used that 1st when I bought the car 15k and a bit of fine detail washing by hand to get it straightened out. Have even used some wax and grease remover, type used by body shops before perp and painting ect. for the white painted areas like under the hood, where the belt will throw crap up. From then out it has been a piece of cake.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply on my water temp sensor, should have thought of that.

Got the new fasteners from Hillco, and than as for detailing it's like 618Hawk....just use the spray bottle of Simple Green(undilluted) than use one of those brushes you can find at any auto parts store for detailing wheels. It reaches in behind all the fuse boxes and things really well. Than I come back with either CD2 Engine Detailer or some of the Zaino Tire Protectant on anything black and wax the body colored areas with some Meguiar's Gold Class wax. I've got a set of FRC's that were on there but the paint cracked and they're having to be redone.

Damn man, nice touch with those fasteners. Yall have some sweet friggin engine bays.
Any way you could give a run-down possibly of what to spray and what not to spray with simple green/water. Like if my EGR, fuse box, intake, power steering pump, brake unit, etc was dirty. Which of the components can be covered in simple green and what can't.

I hit every thing with the Simple Green, as for the water just be cautious, and common sence for what you hit, and how you hit it with the water. Power steering pump non elect items let em have it. Fues boxes ect I just dust them with the water.
As for the Simple Green have not had any problems with the stuff, I let it go everywere. More so on the real dirty & grease covered areas.
And to play it safe once all is washed down, I will hit all areas with the compressor and blow the excessive water off and out of connectors and fuse boxes, and any were there is standing water. Spot free results.
