Painting Black interior gloss black
I have a black interior and was wondering if anyone has pics of a black interior with gloss black painted accents... and secondly should I do it? I dunno if it will look ricey or what... i would just paint the stuff that the "carbon fiber kits" come with...

Please don't use spray paint. imo the the difference in the finished product with a n hvlp vs. a spray can is night and day. Not only does it look better, but durability is 100x's better. Either buy a cheap hvlp, quart of paint, and 1 or two pieces to practice on. Or sand them down and take them to a shop. when i think of using krylon on interior pieces i want to .

Hmm... I'm on the fence. I like the black versus the dark grey, but I'm not sure I like it glossy. It might actually look better in a flat black.
If I did that, I'd want to paint my climate control ***** and vents, too.

1. Prep the surface well (sand/fill, prime with adhesion promoter)
2. Use the right kind of paint (An acrylic that has some "give" to it)
3. The proper spraying technique (No stopping the can while spraying, Smooth motions, etc.)
4. Two or more coats of clear.
I agree, alot of spray can paintjobs I've seen on here look like ***, but purely because the owner got excited about it, and did not prep it properly, didn't spray it right, and didn't use any clearcoat.

I'm a painter so i kinda agree with you. I myself could probably make some trim look nice with a can, but if you hold it up next to a piece that has been hit with a single or 2 stage paint, the two can't even be compared. If you took 2 pieces, one that was hit with a can and another with an gun, i could spot the can job in a matter of seconds.

Whos car is it? Do ANYTHING you want! Show us the pictures when you're done IF you want our opinions then too! Some times going off the beaten path provides nice surprises. Early on, my opinion is it won't look TOTALLY SWEET, but again, whos car is it?

I have painted my interior on my 1994 firebird formula blue to match the exterior car. I later regreted it, So i re-painted it primer black and it looked much better. But be careful when you paint it , take your time.
