Default brake calipers

i want to paint my calipers either gold or hunter green to match my ws6 but i dont know how to go about it....do i just take them off and slap on the paint or is there some kind of methods or techniques people use? i know to most of you this may sound like a rediculous question but i really dont know so any help would be greatly appriciated.

Before you paint, make sure you sand the caliper smooth.

I sanded mine down a little bit. then Taped them off, sprayed some primer on them the painted and clear coated them and never took them off the car. as long as you tape them off real good there is no need to take them off your car.

yup I toke a wire brush one you use for a grill, brushed a few times. Then toke some brake cleaner and rustolem cleaned what I could. Taped and bagged off everything that was not to be painted. Put a few coats of paint on them. Im happy with the look.

Dupli color makes a kit that you can get at every parts store, cost around $15 and comes with everything you need. I used it on my brakes and they came out really nice, several coats of paint and you get a nice deep color.
