It was to signify a big block. No small block Camaros got the black panel.

I mean when people say somethings "agressive" on their car it usually is referring to something that is radically different from stock, such as the wings west body kits, and some forms of aftermarket hoods. Simply painting a rear panel black just doesnt fit into this catagory for me. Its like saying, oh i changed my decals from red to silver, look how "aggressive" it looks.

well the whistler mod is nothing more than painting your headlights, and that definitely gives a more aggressive look. nw if he painted a pink berger panel, theres nothing aggressive about pink, but a flat black does add a little character to the car, "aggressiveness" in a sense.

After a little more research, you're right. Only Big-Block cars got the black-out paint. The only ones that didn't get the black-out treatment were Tuxedo Black, Z-10 and Z-11 cars.
