Default VHT Niteshades (Pics)

Today I finished painting my side markers and third brake light with VHT Niteshades (purchased from Afterthoughts). I am very happy with the result and thought I would share some pics. Click on them for larger images. Yeah, I know, I need to wash my car.

When reinstalling the lenses I found out that both driver's side marker lights and both CHMSL bulbs were burned out. I was really worried about the brake lights being dimmer, but when they're on you can't even tell that they're tinted. At night, the sidemarkers also look untouched. The reflectors still reflect plenty of light (learned that with the first picture, then turned the flash off). Next I'll be doing the fogs and DRLs. Once I get that done and get my new wheels mounted, it'll be all BLACK. Well, except for that damn license plate. Who needs those things anyway?

No, I didn't put clear over the nightshades. I'm afraid they would stand out more if I did.

The wheels I got are some no names I got on eBay. But they were cheap and I like the way they look. Now I need to lower it.

I took some quick pics. I just got them mounted (like an hour ago) and it's too dark to get any good shots. I'll get some better ones tomorrow when there's light and (hopefully) no rain.

See, the reflectors still work.

Looking good.

And the wheels don't look like spares.

(Clean up/get new) brakes and paint your calipers black. It will make the rims look 10 times better.

It looks really good, nothing quite like a blacked out Trans Am. I also agree with the caliper clean-up idea. Will make a world of difference.

If you don't put a clear coat on them they will fade over time with the sun and washing of the car.

I guess I'll put a clearcoat on them then.

I took some more pics today in the wastelands, err.. former WalMart parking lot.

Those were on my list, but they're not as easy to clean.

He did fine with what he got. Zo6 motorsports are a dime a dozen anyway. Car looks good bud.

I was just about to ask you for some pics of the whole car.

Lookin very nice. Hint for the next time you take pics, use some wet tire spray. Seems small, but it is something super cheap and easy that makes a much bigger difference than you would think.

Very nice car, just needs a drop. I love the all black look, if i were to have a black car i would definately go all black or no black. It looks much better like that imo. I bet it looks awesome at night, when you all of sudden hear a roaring ls1 and turn around to see a mean looking dark figure. and mean as hell in the day, especially on a bright day, cause it sticks out and looks very aggressive just sitting there. congrats on a awesome car man.
