Default Pic of my T/A (as reflected in the saab's door)

I recently spent a good amount of time clay barring, polishing and waxing the wife's new Saab 9-7x to get rid of the dreaded black swirl holograms typical to black cars. I'm rather pleased:

I hope it will. It's my first time using the Menzerna FMJ wax, but we'll see how it holds up. My next test in my '97 Navy blue explorer. Hopefully it can work half as well.

Well, when I used the Blackfire clay bar, I would wash a section of the car, rinse it, clay bar it, then re-wash it. Doing this, it took about an hour to wash/clay bar her car. Then I spent a good 2 hours using the Menzerna Intense polish. After that, I moved onto the Final Polish which took another 1.5 hours. After that I was done for the day.

The next day I began actually waxing the car. This went pretty quickly, or at least it seemed like it was quicker, but it still took over an hour or more to do.

I'm going to add a second layer of FMJ in the next couple days to see how it holds up to layering. Supposedly it can be layered, we'll see.

It's a combination of two things:

1. I have 19s with 275/30/19s which translates to a very small tire wall.

2. The curviture of the door makes it look like the tire is dissapearing on the bottom.

It can I have done it to the SS, by far the best stuff I have ever used, sounds like you got the Menzerna Car Care kit like me This kit works wonders!!!

Water stands NO chance on the car after that FMJ, it just jumps off the car

The Saab looks great!!!!!

You're exactly right. I had the PC and pads, and was using the Mother's three step process which worked fine for my pewter T/A. I tried using it on the saab, and didn't get the desired results. The swirl halograms were still there, but just shinier.

After using the Menzerna, I'm really impressed. I hope I get additional depth and color from another layer of FMJ.

FMJ is Menzerna's wax, it stands for Full Molecular Jacket.

That's because its not really a Saab. Swedes might get confused.

Whatever... I'm tired of reading Saab owners bitch about Saab building an SUV, but so did Porsche, VW, Mercedes, BMW and all with great success.

Have you even driven the 9-7x? If you haven't, take a test drive, then drive the envoy or trailblazer and you'll definitely say it's a Saab.

Fact is, it drove better than than the trailblazer, Acura MDX, Caddy SRX, Lexus RX-330 and Infinitti FX.
