installation of clear corner lights

installation of clear corner lights i just recently bought some clear corner lights for my 98 camaro z28, i was just wondering in order to install them, do i need to remove the front clip? or just the headlight and then install? has anyone installed them yet? need your help, thanx

its better to take off the headlight. i had to wrestle them out of there. that was kinda tough. have you put a ny rtv silicon on the edge? where the clear meets the back you should they will leak

You don't even have to take the headlight out. I got mine from the access panels under the car. That way you don't have to mess with getting the lights to point strait again.

i had a really hard time putting my clear corners lights on and i chipped some of my new paint...it was easy taking the headlights and original amber corners but putting the new clear corners on was a pain....i will be at the ls1 shootout this weekend in san antonio raceway if anyone want to see them

I just installed my clear corners last weekend. And trust me, it's definitely easier to install them from the top. You may have trouble sliding the headlights out because it's a tight fit. But it's still easier then going from the bottom. Patience is the key!
The headlights arent "that" big of a problem tho. Re-install is going to require more patience so you 1) dont scratch your paint and 2) get the rubber seal placed correctly.
And yes, its MUCHO easier to do this from up top. Although I will say bulb replacement was a sinch from below.
