Default Third Rear Seat?

Has anyone ever seen a 4th gen f-body with a third seat in the back?

Sure would like to throw all 3 kids back there for a nice drive with the top down in the summer?

i used to have to ride on the hump in my friend's dad's formula years ago when i was in elementary school. it was cool the first 5 minutes, then the discomfort sets in. now make my friend's sit on the hump in my car lol

You are missing the whole point! The reason why you have that car is to enjoy one of its perks: LEAVE EVERYONE HOME AND ENJOY YOURSELF! My girl and parents always said, "what are you going to do when you have kids? You will have to get a bigger car." No way! Crammed rear seating and a lack of ability to cart everyone around lets you get out of that bullshit caravan. And I always respond that I bought the car for me, not the neighborhood, or trips requiring transporting large items. Take the wife's car for that stuff. That way there is no chance of scuff marks, spilled juice, etc.

you would have to have a wagonish thing replace the hatch, or remove hatch. then its just a death trap with no seatbelts back there

Umm...he has a CONVERTIBLE!!! He's talking about a rear bench style seat to fit 3 kids, NOT a 3rd ROW of seats.

You'd have to have a rear seat bottom custom made since it's such a deep well you wouldn't be able to swap it for any rear seats that are out there. If you didn't want to hack it up you could have an upholstry shop make up a pad to fit on the hump then bolt in a lap belt to the two inboard seat belt buckles.

haha... my bad!

yeah, you would have to have someone make something like that, good point that there are already 2 seat belt holes right there... just get a lap belt and a buckle and strap that kid in right over the hump!

Yeah. didn't think of using the two existing seatbelts for the third. I'll try that, meantime I'll have the kids fight over who gets to sit on the hump!

Sitting on the hump wasnt a big deal....learning to sleep across it on road trips was another but I managed to master that.

When I had my 94 Z we used to stick the smaller of my friends in the trunk hole and do drive by water ballonings. Pop the hatch, throw, and run. If only I was 16 again.

i fit 5 or 6 ppl in my car regularly. its easy to fit 3 ppl in the back. safety is another issue. a seatbelt would be possible, but even then, probably not safe

Sounds like a good plan to me. The most girls I've ever had in the Z was only 1. I'm not gonna say how many I've had in my single cab F-150 though.

Try fitting yourself and a girl comforatabley in the back of the car, that can be tricky. Just a tip, slid both fronts all the way forward, lean em forward, straddle the hump, she could balance herself with her hands on the two front seat backs then
