Am I the only one who DOESN'T like that?

Maybe if the turn indicators were the proper amber color it would look better, but as is, it's not right.

I think it looks badass, except I would have orange LEDs for the DRL.

I have a question. I have ordered the same HIDs as InfiniteReality, and at first I didn't use the harness becasause I read that it was optional. Well, the drivers side bulb kept on flickering on and off, and eventually stopped working. I switched the ballasts from one side to the other, the problem switches sides, so I figured the ballast was bad. I informed the guy that I purchased them from, and he told me that it sounds like I had power spikes, and because I didn't use the harness they burnt up that ballast. Ok, so I sent it back, and got the ballast replaced with a new one under warranty.
This time I installed the harness by splicing into the drivers side butt connector of the factory harness, and it started up fine. One day later, it is doing the same thing as last time. It is flicking on and off. It first flicks off and wont go back on, so I turn the headlights off for a few seconds, then turn them back on, and they are ok. This has happened a couple of times.
I contacted the guy again, and he said to switch the ballasts from one side to the other and see if the problem switches sides. What do you guys think I should do? Can you guys show me exactly were you tapped into the factory harness? thanks

Are the ballasts wired directly off that junction box on the drivers side that has the big positive post? Then it should be fused, then it should be going through a 30 amp relay then to the ballasts. Each ballast should have a fairly short and thick ground wire bolting it to a solid piece of metal ground. Check to make sure all the connections are clean.

If this is not your setup, then please describe your wiring.

Transamin00 & JasonWW,
In reference to your setup Transamin00, how were you able to pull off the use of High and Low beam HIDs? I recall a post in this thread from JasonWW where it is not done typically due to firing time of the bulbs and stress on the system. They system looks good. JasonWW, so is there a good way to be able to have both High and Low Beam HIDs? I've haven't been following this thread. Trying to bring myself back up to speed. HIDs and blue LED mods are in the planning stages for the car this coming summer. Has anyone come across a good HID fog light kit for 00-02 TAs? I saw LEDguages.com's post about his kit that uses the existing housing. I'm looking for a kit to replace the stock housing (keeping the OD of fog light close to stock). Any suggestions on both systems. Thanks for the info and ideas for modding. Dave

Those are cool. I want a HID system...like you see when a new Nissan Maxima, S2000, 350Z or something comes down the highway at you. But I have a LT1 'Bird so I dunno if they make anything like that for me.

Dave1970, the OEM's use a bi-xenon projector. It is a projector with a movable cutoff shield. The shield is up for low beam and creates a sharp cutoff right below oncomming vehicles. When you activate high beams the shield moves and the light is allowed to shine higher.

Below are some Bosch E46 bi-xenon projectors.

Here is another style where the shield is hinged on the side. When the solenoid is engergized the rod is pushed out and the shiels drops away.

The advantages od bi-xenon in general are that both high and low beams occupy the same space and only one bulb and ballast per side is needed. So you save space and money.

Those cars all use a projector housing. In order for you to fit a projector you have to cut out some metal behind the light area. I know of one person who did that on a budget and one guy who did it on a large scale. Either way you have to cut the radiator crossmember for the projectors to fit.

Their post might get owned, but that place has AWESOME customer care. That's where my HIDs for the car and bike came from, not to mention a year later and no problems with either.
