Trans Am seats in Camaro

Trans Am seats in Camaro Who here has swapped a set of Trans Am seats with the power lumbar sides into a Camaro? I have a set of T/A seats, but haven't swapped them yet and was wondering if the wiring harness is the same.
Pontiac seats are so much more comfortable, Camaro seats suck

Tony, basically they are virtually PLUG and PLAY. Most important part is to get the hose/wire harness with the seats, if not you need to buy part # 12177553.
The harness, goes under the center console (and carpet) joining the two seats together. It plugs into the OEM Camaro 2 wire plug (orange & white I believe) sticking out to the carpet on the drivers side, then plugs into the pump under the passenger seat to provide adjustablity, and then plugs into the driver seat.
Make sence?
There is only ONE air pump that provides the pneumatic lumbar and side bolster adjustments.

As far as I remember the harnesses are not compatible because the t/a harness has extra pins for the lumbar. However it's been six months since I put mine in so I dont recall exactly.
I didn't care for the lumbar, so what I did was swap tracks on the seats - that way it wouldnt' have a button that does nothing. Once the seats were swapped on the tracks, the appropriate harness was there and plugged right in.
If you want to keep lumbar I can't imagine it would be too difficult.
This is my absolute favorite aesthetic mod to date, especially since I was coming from cloth highbacks!!
I recovered my door panels too.

hmmm, I didn't get a hose/harness with them. Maybe I'll just keep the driver's seat functional and not worry about the passenger side. Hey, they have to deal with the cat-hump floorpan anyways

Bottom line, you MUST have that harness, or none of the features will work.
The passenger side seat only has pneumatic lumbar and bolsters, there is no "power" feautes, such as forward and back . . .

I bought mine for $300. They are in pretty good shape in my opinion. I will get rear seats eventually, for now I just use a single rear seat delete kit that I made. I was watching some rear seats on eBay go for well over $200 which was kind of surprising.
It's all about waiting for the right deal!! Check eBay frequently, local speed shops (lots of people trade leather seats in on Recaro/Corbeau etc), and also check the forums here, people are always parting out totalled cars.

I couldn't tell a noticable difference in seat height from my Camaro compared to my T/As. However, they are very adjustable, so you can sit at whatever height or slope you like. I've always preferred the T/A seats.
I paid $100 for a set seats out of a 1994 Formula Firebird. They aren't power, but the car only had 24k miles on it. The grey cloth matches my 1999 interior almost exactly. Only thing is that the rear seat is faded a little on the top, plus the material was never real nice to start with.
