seatbelts?

hey guys,

i broke the little plastic seat belt guide that goes on the headrest, i got new ones to go on, BUT i do not have a hex/star screw driver big enough to undo the bolt that ties the seat belt to the floor

and i have a pretty good selection, not even a big @$$ screw driver will fit in there

any tips or tricks to get that thing out??

Doesn't the new one have a split in it (where it attaches to the headrest)
IIRC the bolt size is a torx 50 (aka T50)

Umm.. go to the hardware store and buy some Torx drivers...

nop the new ones don't have a split

i have a set of Torx drivers, size 50 is HUGE

you can get a cheap torx set from autozone with a t-50 in it. I think you can also buy it by itself.

I would invest in a decent set of Torx drivers because its not too hard to round off a torx head on a cheap set by using the wrong one that seems to fit

I bought a T-50 at Wal-mart in a 30 dollar set. I have never seen another place that has one in Austin. Not pep boys, autozone etc, otherwise I had to drive to O'reily's 60 miles north to buy a triple set to get a new T-50 when I lost the first.

Alone the set of 3 cost 10 bucks, sheesh.
