Perfect! I thought it would look good. I like the idea of leaving the "Trans Am' of the doors too. I'll have my guy re-paint the "Trans Am" words and clear coat them and take them home with me, later on maybe I'll put them on the doors. But it definitely looks better without the side mouldings.

I'm doing the bottom half of my bumper in charcoal grey metallic too.

Thanks.

Would I have to re-paint the doors if I were to do this? I'm gettin a new hood after I replace my clutch, and my front bumper and sideskirts/rockerpanels need to be re-painted, so if I need to repaint the doors I'll just wait to take off the moldings when I do that!

They may come off smoothly or they could pull some paint off. They stick on like a sticker would. Than you would clean it up with Goo-Off or something. If they come off though, depending on how old your paint is, it could be noticable because the paint/clearcoat will be fresh under the mouldings.

My body guy said to take a plastic scraper and slowly and gradually pull the moulding at one end and scrap it off as you pull the moulding straight away from the body, little by little.

I'm gonna do it tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens. My paint is all original, 7 years and 10 months old.

Sucks because this was my car before that bitch Hurricane Wilma, looked like the day I picked it up: I took these the day before the hurricane in case my insurance company didn't believe me. Almost flawless all around.

18,000 miles on them and they're wearing perfectly. They also handle perfectly for street driving.

Just took mine off today and they came off pretty easily. I had to use Goo-Off to get the adhesive off the paint, that took about 30 minutes for both sides. Mine have been there for almost 8 years too. The paint where the strips were look exactly like the rest of the door. Thank you Zaino!
