Halo LED burnt out...need some advice
I know I've read here where some guys had their LED's go out in their halos. Well last night I joined that list. I tried to look for the thread but I can't seem to find it. I went back through 45 pages with no luck and search only came up with 3 threads on halos.
Anyway, how do you go about fixing this? I know I'm going to have to take the lense off to get to the LED, but what size am I going to need and what color? I'm thinking that I'm going to have to do both headlights b/c it's going to be impossible to match what's currently on there.
A little feedback please.

I dont know that Ive ever seen a thread with people actually talking about fixing the problem. I have seen the thread of people talking about them blowing out though. Obviously the easiest way to solve this is to buy a new pair, unreasonable, I know. I cant tell you how to fix it but I know how I will fix mine, yea you will have to remove the lense, and Im not sure how hidden the LED is so that may require a little bit of cutting as well (or maybe not). Anyway I know Im going to want a brighter LED in there because the one that comes with it isnt bright enough so all Id have to do is find a brighter LED with the same voltage and I should be fine. Course I hope I never have to do that.

also if you have your halos run with the fogs you could try running in to the drl and then tinting the drl that way youll get about a good hour or so to display ...depending on if your out at that hour or not

Well looking at it last night there's 2 LED's in each halo. Now I just have one that is burnt out. The other one is fine, but the halo is very dull. It doesn't look like it's going to be a hard project, I just need to know what kind of LED it is. Ive been to brightleds.com and couldn't find anything close to them.

Youll have to pull the housing apart kind of like you would do for the whistler mod. Then youll have to replace the LED and find a proper resistor for it according to the voltage its receiving.
