Appearance mod suggestions....take a look
Alright so I have an 02 SS vert, nbm with some bolt on/suspension mods. Haven't done much exterior wise, I feel limited by the neutral top/interior. I've thought about changing to black, but there weren't many M6 nbm SS's made in 02, let alone with neutral, so I am having a hard time changing it. Here are some pics, tell me what you think would look good. (these pics are before lowering, try to imagine it 1.5" lower)
*edit* if anyone wants to photoshop a couple stripe options I would appreciate it
Thanks everyone

That tan top won't affect collectibility in the future. Nobody really cares about top colors on collectible cars, its the paint code that matters. You might see if it is possible to dye the top black, or just replace it.
Unless you plan on keeping the car forever, I wouldn't even worry about collectibility issues. Enjoy the car and let someone else restore it later. You won't see a dime of that collectibility value if you sell it before the value starts going up again (20+ yrs?)
black top, chrome wheels to start.

Ideas:
Black top, paint the area in front of cowl black, black berger panel, black grill, clear corners, and Privat Profiles with black spokes and chrome lip.
Or maybe the same thing but substitute "black" with "gray", "silver", or "charcoal".

Okay my suggestion would be a blue top! If there's one thing I wince at, it's a different color canvas on a vert. It's not a shot at your car though. It's just that luxury based convertibles that still use canvas like MB CLKs, BMW 3/6 Series offer same-color tops for most color combos. If you could get it blue to match that would be great. I think the wheels are fine, unless you chromed them then that'd be cool. And if you can part with the front plate, put on a nice grill, painted NBM as well. Put on a short antenna.

Get a polished stainless hood grille for that scoop, and get some polished stainless "camaro" fills for tha rear panel. I would also suggest some new wheels if you don't mind ponying up the dough. Also, clear corners are a must, and maybe some nice tint work. Other than that, I would leave it alone - An SS comes with enough badass appearance as it is. The hood and spoiler are just nasty!

I would ditch the front grille and find another place for that liscense plate. I really like the idea of a matching color(Blue) canvas top. Shorten the antenna. And get some chrome rims. You will be set.

black top, chrome wheels for sure like ASAP. clear corners and unless your state requires you have that front plate on by law get rid of that thing it is horrid looking. oh yeah... and some dark tint.
