Thanks , really nice to know that makes me kind of proud; I just think everyone is entitled to their own opinion I like the look of the hood and ground effects kind of makes me think of a modded gran turismo camaro but then i have the more traditional looking one too that i like just as much

Shoulda bought a t/a to begin with isn't valid to me. My dad works at a chevy dealership and I got this car at the trade in value they gave the guy that turned it in. It was too good of a deal to turn down and I thought I'd try that hood to spruce it up. I appreciate all the comments negative and positive. They have given me different opinions to think about. I just feel like the car will look neutered if I go back to the regular Z hood. and I cant spend that much money for the SS hood as much as I'd like to. So at Im at a cross roads. I've got alot to think about!

It depends on the style of the hood. The WS6 looking hoods don't match the lines of the car. There are others that look better. Like the SS style hoods.

I don't think it fits the rest of the car at all.

SS hoods are nice, but Mike Moran and Harwood are where it's at.

I like the ramair "warbird" hoods better than the SS hoods simply because the WS6 style directs air right into the airbox assembly, so I feel that this type of hood is far more functional than the factory SS hood. Same goes for SLP's Ultra Z hood.

The SS hoods, I mean really, they look nice, but the air has to do two 180 degree turns before it hits the airbox??? I mean who thought of that?

Yes I know "Is that spray paint in the front?" Yes it is. Its temporary and thats why Im tryin to decide whether to repaint the hood or just throw the stocker back on.

T/A hoods on Camaros are for people going through an identity crisis. I dont like it, it looks like your trying too hard to stand out. What about adding a T/A spoiler, where should it end? Should have bought a T/A, body panels are the only things that keep theses cars different.

I normally dont like the hood on lt1 maros but with the kit it looks pretty sharp. Peoples comments, especially the last one have really got me thinkin. I think Ill put my stock hood back on, mostly because I dont think I want to pay to have that hood repainted.

So when I figure out a cheap way to get my OE hood from wisconsin to Texas I'll throw it back on. HAs anyone ever used greyhound before?

Are you kidding bro? You're gonna change it because of what these guys say about it? Everybody is entitled to an opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. I think it looks really good and stands out from the rest. I say keep it

definatly alot harder to pull of on a thirdgen....and although alot more f-bod people will criticize and complain about how bad it may look - I think I built the car up to make the hood subtle enough that it fits with the overall scheme of things......and for people that arent f-bod enthusiasts such as us end up loving the hood to death on my car!

Irk322, it all depends what your goals are. If you like it then everyones opinion shudnt matter. Generally F-body enthusiasts wont like the mod especially according to the poles #'s, but I bet the average person wud like it. For the most part members on the board and myself are fans of the Ultra Z hood if you looking for something aftermarket. Just throwing out my perspective.

Well the only reason I was gonna throw the old hood back on is because the ram air hood has damage on the front that will probably cost $350 to fix. I can throw the stock hood back on for free is my thinking.

Go for it then, the stock hood is slick and clean looking, especially if it will save you $$$

The SS hood is my fav as well but I dont think Z28 hood is THAT out of place. A stock T/A hood is in more of a need of a change
