My hood weighs ~10lbs. The zeus fasteners work well.

They look good on your car. I am going to put them on this yr b/c after 150mph the hoods sure shakes and lifts. It would sure suck if it slammed against the window at 150 +. That would be a wild ride.

That's what happened to me. The top skin of the hood flew off at 140mph. Luckily went into the air (a few stories) and landed in the grass.

I got it fixed and put the hood pins on to be safe (that was the pic of the Electron Blue 1994 Z28).

Again though, that hood was damaged before that happened. I got it for free off a friend's wrecked car. It had a crack in the front.

I like them. On blown346s hood or the Sunoco, 3in SS, or a big cowl. However, not good on stock SS or stock hood.

Im thinking about it because i have hit my head too much working on my car that it would be nice to just have a lift off hood.

Hood pins just don't look right on newer F-Bodies.

I still like the look of them on these cars:

Cool inverse of Jon Moss's ZL1

My car needed them...

I've got a lift-off hood with pins. I like 'em, but think they'd prolly look funny on a stock hood.

my buddy's mustang had his hood split on him just recently. the top piece suddenly flew back, broke one of the hinges, hit the windshield and roof so hard it knocked the dome light and hit him in the head. he was only going 65.
