Hey, i am thinking about getting some parts chrome plated for udner my hood. Does anyone know of a good place that doesnt charge an arm and a leg? I am thinking about plating my intake and strut tower brace chrome? Input?

Spinner doesn't chrome plate 'as received parts' - they may SELL parts that are chrome plated - but not the one's you're looking for.

To get parts chromed you have to take the car out off service for a while (unless you go out and buy duplicates of the parts you want chromed), remove the parts and have them chromed professionally as I did.

Superman09 - the guy I use doesn't have a website, but as I stated he does only high quality 5-step process Show Chrome and he can also chrome plastic. If you look at the pics below you can see some of the plastic parts he has done - my entire PS pump reservoir, A/C Caps, Oil Dipstick, etc. He's plating my FAST90 Intake right now and I'm trying to decide whether or not to have him do my Volant airbox - might be a little too much...

I'm still digging thru my receipts to get you that estimate of what I paid thru him for the items you were interested in...

If that doesn't work out I would recommend going to your local Harley dealer and asking them about chrome shops in your area. Maybe even a bike chop shop if you have one near by.

I'm interested in having several things chrome plated as well, not many local shops left in my area. So if you pass out some info shoot some my way as well.

well you cant polish plastic, haha. Plus a few items like my STB are powdercoated and chroming them would be a lot easier than trying to remove it and shine it up. Chrome is always much easier to keep up.

Why don't you buy a polished weiand intake manifold instead of chroming your LS1 manifold, gain some hp too.

I just say why chrome an LS1 intake, you plan on keeping it stock lol. Just by a used LS6 intake off this site and get that chrome plated.

yea, thats what i meant, sorry, haha. Either its going to be a chromed LS6 intake or polished Weiand intake
