Default Those with raptor hood read please

I just got my raptor hood painted and put on the bird, but have a question for those that have one too. The secondary latch doesn't fit like it did with the stock hood because of the shape of the hood. What did you guys do to make this work?

A quick picture of the hood installed. I'll have more tomorrow, when it's dried off and washed.

Did you put the spacers where the bolts go? It sits fine there, but the lever part to open the hood is what is hitting on the hood.

Formula-T/A: Thank you.

could you not cut your lever down some and put the rubber part from it on the part thats remaining, i know it will be facing straight out now instead of coming out and cutting a right angle, but it would work until you got a new lever! Hood looks killer though!

I appreciate the suggestion to help, but not really looking for temporary fix on this. I am just needing to know what other people who have this hood have done, and if it's actually a whole new piece that I need or a cetain way to modify this one.

I know there are people on here with this hood, c'mon guys I need some advice

Looks fuggin' awesome man. It's about time.

On the secondary latch I'm not sure. The shop put mine on and I adjusted it. My secondary latch has always worked fine.

Mine was installed by the body shop, so I'm not sure what they did to make it work..

But I'll have to count you down as another person with a Raptor hood that fits better than the POS on my Formula.

Hmmm, mine wouldn't go on there at all. When it was put on, the lever part to release was hitting the top of the hood..? Was your bent or something to make it work?

As for the fitment, it does fit pretty good. The sides by the top of the hood don't fit perfectly lined up with the fenders, but everywhere else is pretty dead on.

Fad2blk_98: Looks SICK!!! where'd you get that GEFX Kit?? that front lip is rare. I've only seen the Wings West Kit. GOOD LUCK with that hood- really brings out the nastyness of the black TA's. Keep it clean as always

That actually is the ww gfx kit, just for the firebird/formula style rather then the TA style. Thx for the compliment

you might calll suncoast creations and ask them if you can get just that part. i remember putting my hood on and the new latch handle was quite a bit shorter than the stock piece. or you could always just cut down your stock piece like previously mentioned.

My latch was catching on the front nose clip and had to be forced passed it until I drilled the mounting holes out to allow movement back about an 1/8 of an inch.
