Yeah, I know about that kit. The fact that it is a "kit" is why it was so poorly executed. To do it the way I've envisioned everything would have to be molded and there would be no lines left indicating that there used to be a big piece of glass in that spot. I guess it's useless trying to describe it because people are always gonna go back to that RKsport pic for reference.

Most of us are able to read and comprehend what you are describing and I understand how it's different from what I posted. I just thought of the RKSport kit when I read this thread. I like the look of my hatch area the way it is myself.

It's hard to mess with the lines of the car like that. I think the hatch (even though I hate having a noisy *** hatch) is what makes T/A's look absolutely sick. Changing it might be unique, but I'm not sure it'd be a visual improvement in any way.

blackbyrd now that looks good. A big box like the above post is gay.. there is to much space behind the driver seat to cover up. I wouldnt do it.

Hmmmm.....I just can't picture any way to make it look good. Besides if you're going to go as far as to remodel the interior, the back, the window....then that's not just an "appearance mod" that's redesigning the car! To me it's a cryin' shame when someone makes a frankentrans i.e....

Now that is actually a very nice setup!!!

The only other ones I ever thought looked good were only made to get a Camaro overseas without paying sports car taxes (they made them into trucks) and then converted back BUT they did very nice work:

Here it is with the hatch bolted back on:

And here's their earlier and (admittedly) crappier versions:

This looks like some of the crap I've seen on here (not the post, the board):

I think if someone took the IDEA of the El Camaro's bed and did as nice a job making it as they did they could sell the $hit out of them...

Something other than the version we get from Billy Bob in the backyard with some plywood, a hacksaw and some carpet from Wal-Mart
