Sorry for the long post Just my 2 cents
this consumer reports test is an absolute farce .. anyone that is talking about how applying a wax is causing small scratches and swirls marks obviously doesn't understand what they are doing ..

the advice CR gave in this article isn't worth the time to takes to read it, in my opinion.

Chip Foose sold out! I saw him endorsing mothers so I gave it a try. Figured he is respected and would not slap his name on just anything. I got the mothers chrome polisher for my rims. I wanted to make sure I had a deep shine. My ocd azz went and got another chrome polisher by the name of Eagle-one nano polish. I tried to trick my wife, in that both wheels were shined with the same stuff. I asked her if one was more brilliant than the other. She saw it right away! I cant speak for their car wax but that crome polisher made a noticable difference, and you dont wait until it drys! Wipe on, wipe off. But hey, I'd sell out too if the check was big enough lol.

Of the two listed I would definitely go with Meguier's although I do like Mother's claybar better. My choice would be Zaino out of what I've used but P21s is supposed to be very good as well. That's the next one I'm going to try.

I've been using Meguire's Next Gen or whatever it's called on my last two Camaro's. It's the paste. It looks great, but doesn't seem to last all that long. I'll try out the liquid stuff next.

You know I've been wanting to try PB's Natty Blue, its suppose to be great on dark colored cars. I've read nothing but good things about Poor Boys products.

I voted for Mothers strictly because of the clay bar system. It is simply the best, longest lasting shine I have ever had on my car. It has been months since I used the system and it looks just as shiny as it did the day I did it. It is a really big undertaking as you go over every square inch of your ride 4 different times but it is so worth it. I really like Meguiars wax but the Mother's setup is the best thing I have ever used.

im a meguires guy myself. Though if I don't strip it totally i do use a mother's cleaner wax. if i strip it down and spend all day bug and tarring it. I start out with meguires #2, then meguires #7, then meguires #26. Then I do another coat of 7 and another of 26. thats my job. my car doesnt see rain so I don't bust out the sealants, the wax is fine with me. Adam's is good stuff too, but where I live is too hard to come by and I love the shine with Meguire's.
