rear tail panel

i hav a white z28, i wanna make the tail panel black and fill it with chrome letters

anyone ever attempt to paint their own?

I painted my buddies on his 94 z. (burgendy) sp? It was fairly easy. Just spend some time wet sanding and polishing and it will look pro.

its really easy just go with a rough grit sand paper to scuff the surface, then get some light grit sandpaper to smooth it out, spray primer over top until smooth and no scratch marks can be seen, then get some Matte Black or Flat Black at walmart and put as many coats as you feel is neccessary and let her dry for about 12 hours then your done, bolt it up to the car and have a home made berger panel.

I opted for a new panel (kept factory one that way if I did not like it I could go back), had it painted at my local dealership total cost $150 for the panel and paint
