Default Window tint durability??

I am considering getting my windows tinted. I am wondering how well it holds up on the windows if you roll the up and down much??

My car is a DD and I will put on 15k this summer.

I would put new glides in when I did it, but I won't do it if they will look scratched where the glides are in a few months.

Thanks!!

I had tint on my 96 and it had no problems, Had it on for over a year before starting to see small scratches. I don't think you'll have any major probs.

So long as you don't have problems with worn glides, it'll last pretty much forever.

Go to a good shop though. Your much more likely to have problems with bubbles, dirt, or hair, than with the tint itself wearing or scratching. How good of a trim job also matters in the long run, any bad trimming will make a peel point that will eventually come up.

I've had tint on my daily driver formula for 8 years and it was fine the whole time.

Just clean them sparingly after they are tinted and dont use ammonia. The longer your car sits outdoors the worse it will look too, but not for a really really long time (5+ years).

You might want to consider painting or covering the back glass's dot matrix area before you have it tinted. The tint has a hard time sealing well around them and doesn't look good.

I've had tint on my car for at least 3 years(I think the old owner got it when he bought it, so it might be 5 or 6 years). Still looks amazing. Had tint on my old car and it turned purple after a year. And I even used the Eagle One cleaner the tint guy recommended. All depends on the shop that you have put it in.
