Default New Blackouts (All Lights) (56K Bad)

Thought I'd post pics of my blackouts.

The front turn signals and fog light blackouts are smoked acrylic from GS Creations (ebay). They just slide right in....no tape or anything. I've driven around with them and haven't had problems with them coming out.

The Brake Lights are AVS snap on covers...no tape...takes about 10 seconds to snap them on. I removed the AVS logos. Got them from Autozone...pretty cheap....but special order.

The side marker lights and 3rd brake light are factory lights that I sent to johnebgoode (A8SECNDGT@aol.com). He shaved the GM markings off of them and painted them with a special mixture of clear coat and black. They are AWESOME!!! Contact him if you want premium work done...tell him I sent you.

Enjoy!

It's all pretty sweet except for the black headlight lids...

*** I retract that statement after seeing you other thread. They just didn't look as good way up close as from a slight distance. Lookin sweeeet

I guess if you could do it with black...you can do it with any color. Getting the right mixture formula down might take a few times. Contact him and report back....I'd be curious to know.

The other thing is black doesn't affect the color of the light....don't know if other colors would change things....that might be more of a problem.

Looks nice dude. I've got AVS taillight covers and VHT painted sidemarkers and CHMSL. I just ordered the front blackouts off eBay too.

Thanks for the write up. Glad you're happy with them. Been doing a lot of the GTO tails and refinishing the SAP grilles to body color also. Thanks again...!!!

I painted an extra set of side markers I had pewter and the light comes out red, so it can be done.

Thanks a lot for these pics, I had the exact same ideas in mind but I wasn't sure how it would turn out on a red car. I like it!

THe blackouts are looking good. I'm not loving the headlights but that's just
my .02. Here's blackouts on a Pewter car.

Looks good, only things I personally don't care for are the headlights and the tail lights... I love the honeycomb look of the tails. Looks sharp otherwise, the blackout kit from ebay is worth it

I have the same ones, The first few times they came out easy, but when you get them in the right spot they stay in good.

Glad I could help....that's why I post. I figure I've learned and been helped by things everyone else has posted.....so why not help people out with what I've done.

Nice car btw......not sure if I like the color though hahaha
