Rock chips...what are my options?
I was going to take my car to a shop and see what my options are but I thought I'd ask here first.
I have rock chips on the front end of my car. They go from the bottom up to the headlights which also apparently took a beating from the previous owner driving offroad with this thing...they are all white and very visible (when close).
What are my options for fixing or touching this up, and what range of costs are associated with each one?
Thanks. I want to get this done before my spring cleaning.

I wondered the same thing when I first got my camaro, but what I've found is that the front of these cars are just plain magnets for rock chips and so if you spend a bunch on getting it perfect, in a short while you'll be very very mad...so my vote would have to go to touch-up paint... (unless of course your car barely gets out and might have a better chance of staying perfect...)

I was looking for the same info as in the 6mo of owning the scoob...I've taken a rock to the windsheild (had it filled), one to the headlight (good thing for strong ABS plastic), one to the driver's side A-Pillar (all the way down to the primer) and several on the hood (all the way to the primer). I'm not worried about it too much because I know it'll take more...so I'd rather just get it sealed up so it doesn't flake, or rust.
So is it best to do this right after a wash, I'm guessing? Would you clay bar, then wash again, dry and then put it on? I'm guessing it wouldn't be a good idea to wax right away on it...maybe let it set up for 24 hours and then wash again, dry and wax???

Your in the same pickle as I am. The only way to make it perfect is to repaint. Here try looking at this.

Unless you have the equipment and skills two pull this off, like I don't, then you ought to set up with a body shop to repaint the front end of your car.

White cars show the chips just as bad. The primer is gray and shows. Maybe not as bad as it does on black. But you can still see it. The best part of a white car is that you can touch it up and it's nearly impossible to see the touch up work unless you're really looking closely.

i did one chip... i can't find it any more,
just like the ad says it's not going to be perfect,
did other stuff to the car today, so again only spent a little time with it.
filled in a big chip on spoiler (down to white) and can't see it if I did'nt know it was there.
this has to be better than factory touch up, where you can see every thing close.
up to the individual, this is my only car... so i keep it up the best i can
just read the lanka (sp) from previous post this also looks good...
we all know how much money keeping a car up, and modding is, sometimes you waste money trying to save it.

I just use touch up paint everytime I see a new chip. I put several small layers on till it is raised up above the rest of the surounding paint. Then I wetsand the area till I get them even and smooth then polish it up. It's not 100% but it's a lot better and really hard to find
