Some use Costco-type towels without problems successfully and some just don't recognize the marring. Either way, if one is satisfied with them, that's all that matters.
*I* will never use the "cheap" MF towels for anything other than door jambs, wheels, engines, etc.
and absolutely love them. I wash them seperately etc and took good care of them and was truly amazed at the results.
So when my wife was in Costo, she saw the micro fiber towels there, the same yellow ones that everyone here is talking about and I noticed a big difference in quality and performance between the two of them.
I still have the yellow towels, but use them for washing the car, and wiping down the interior of the car. The way I figure is that using them to wash the car isn't going to hurt anything. When it comes time to take off the polish, wax, or even to clean off the car, I use high the high quality towels.
When I ordered my Menzerna kit last fall, I also got some good micro fiber towels as well from ProperAutocar.com
