[QUOTE=quiet_storm98]no one calls my vert ugly with the top up

I think your car looks sweet bud, don't listen to them ....I had a 94z and a 95t/a both t-tops and thought they looked sexy as hell only thing I disliked about them was at high speeds they would pick up a vibration when tops were off, but I love them both. IMO I think t-tops look tuffer and verts look more stylin(crusier). But I guess t-tops get a piece of both worlds. Thanks for the opinions keep them coming!

Its up to you really, but if it were me I'd go hardtop. Your options are only t-top and convertible, I'd choose t-top.

Vert Top down Vs. T-tops off --- Vert wins
Vert top up Vs. T-tops on --- T-top wins
Performance of Vert Vs. T-Top --- Tie because the vert doesnt wiegh that much more
Looks altogether both in Excelent condition --- Vert wins
Which sounds better with a sound system --- T-top

Just keep doing this then add it up to decide what you want.

140 lbs isnt that much Not to mention you need a bunch more safety **** at the track with a convertable. Or you could have a t-top car and put that money into performance (while still looking better )

Not that much copared to some cars vert vs coupe vs ttop. It's all opinion. In the end the dude has to make his own choice not based on what a bunch of people on the net think.

How can anyone on here think any LS1 is "ugly"? I think they all look great, Camaros, TAs, Goats, SSRs trucks etc., all of them. I got a TA vert because I wanted the power of a Viper with 4 seats so I could take the whole family out. There is not a lot of choices for fast 4 seat convertibles. I had to spend a little extra to get the power but I got what I wanted.

SSRs are probably the ugliest trucks ive ever seen. Verts just arent for everybody, nice times though man.

So I just got a '95 'Vert T/A to replace my totaled 'stang (hail). Man I wished I'd found this site first. I would have looked for something else.

Things I've learned......

1. All 'verts are slow

2. All 'verts are ugly sometimes (with top up/down) ?

3. The only good looking car is the one that looks just like yours.

4. Racafella13 is looking for a girl or gay guy in a 'vert. (sorry dude, married.)

5. I can't make up 140 lbs of weight. Note to self, go to Jenny Craig and lose 140 lbs.

6. Probably should listen to the folks telling you to try both and see what you like best.

Wow, look at all the people with convertables getting pissed off. I guess the truth just hurts sometimes.
If you dont mind the way a vert looks with the top up, then go get yourself one. Everyone has a different opinion about them

I'm not sure where I stated I was pissed off. I did try to make a (sarcastic) point that an opinion is not fact. If I were to say all green Camaro's are slow, gay, ugly I would be stating it as a fact (albeit wrong). If I were to say that I believe all green Camaro's are slow, gay, ugly I would be stating my opinion (albeit wrong). The advice to Wicked illusions on why you like or dislike a particular style is formed from ones personal taste and experiences. It is not fact. I have no problem with hardtops or t-tops, just preferred another convertible. I would recommend one, but understand why someone would personally rather have a t-topped car. Red, Green, Auto, Stick, Hardtop, T-top, 'Vert LS1, LT1, 1st Gen, 2nd Gen....It's all what one likes. Can't we all just get along.

2006 Torro twin V, 3" pipe, homemade ram air. 50" deck, 8" rims, cruise control, cup holder, bagger delete, flexmaster 5000 belt, shift kit. 0-5 acres mowed in 3 hrs.
And yes it's a 'vert.

^^ I was kinda thinkin the same thing, I guess its a good thing though to get hear a wide variety of opinions. I personally dont dig F-body verts except black SS's, however, I think your car pulls it off nicely quite storm.

Don't want to **** anyone off but my opinion is verts are for chicks and older men and that especially goes for the vettes. I'd never own a vert, even if i was 80.

Edited out masculine reference, was not in good taste even if i believe it...
