Question T-top SS or vert?

I am getting an SS in a few weeks. I am debating about T-tops or convertable. What do you guys think? Any one have pics of Ls1 convertable SS's w/ tanue covers(speedster), a styling bar and a bodykit together?

I was looking for a t-top Z28 when I wanted out of my old Z71. I stumbled across my convertible SS and had to have it instead. I'll probably never own another hardtop car again.

I agree with 99. Verts are ugly as hell and t-tops look good on or off. Plus t-top cars are lighter than the vert by like 140 lbs

i think hard top cars look the best, but they sure as hell arent as fun as the t-top cars.

and the verts just dont do it for me, they look cheap with the top up, and a little more decent with it down, but go for the t-tops, you wont regret it.

its really a question of whether you would rather look really good or if you would rather have the experience of driving without a top. my suggestion is go drive them both and decide what you want based on that. Another thing that would play a big factor in the decision for me is where i live and how many months out of the year id be aable to have the top down....either way you will have fun and personally i love my t-tops and would only consider a vert if it was stricly a weekend cruiser and was going to have slicks, skinnies and 4/6 point roll car and plenty of power to back up the look.

no offense wildron, but that car wouldn't look good IMO with the top up, it's nothing against you or any vert owners, just a personal preference - just not a fan. either way i'm not buying the car, so whoever is trying to decide should just get what they want. that's how it should be anyway, not letting a bunch of people you've never met tell you what to get.

LOL, me too.

BTW, I think verts look great with the top down. Top up is a different story. But t-tops is pretty much the best medium, so that's what I went with and love it.

I currently have ttops, and have previously owned a vert, both have their advantages. Verts are great for cruising and being wide open but not much for performance. T-tops are great for performance/cruising. If you are wanting to mod it much, definately go for the t-tops.

You kind of asked for it man. We were stating our opinions that verts are ugly with the top up and then you post a picture of your convertable with the top up saying nobodys ever called your car ugly. What did you expect? The thread was about peoples opinion on getting a convert or a t top car, and we let him know what we thought about it. Nobody has a "problem"
