Anyone put a lighted mirror in the visor?
I want my visor to have a light for the mirror cause I don't know how many times I've had something in my contact and the lights on the rear view just don't cut it. Anyone that has done this or knows how to go about doing this? Thanks.

It is fairly simple to do in comparison to other mods; however you would need to "rebuild" your visor. You actually have two options:
1. Find a replacement lighted mirror to be installed in your current visor. Nice factory look.
Or.
2. Have a custom LED Module built for your visors, and custom installed into the visor.
Either one requires the disassembly and reassembly of your visors, and you running power wire to it which could be tapped from the rearview mirror lines.

White LEDs, cheap like dirt on eBay with the resistors
thrown in.
A magnetic reed switch, normally-closed, magnet-open.
A cheap home alarm system window sensor of the NC
variety, has one inside the plastic housing. Skinny
enough to fit inside the visor.
A tiny high-field magnet epoxied to the mirror face so
that closed, it opens the switch powering the LEDs
and opened, applies power to however many (like,
maybe one at each corner or two in each side of the
mirror surround plastic).
If you ran the LEDs off IGN/ACC then maybe just let
them glow all the time and let the cover, cover it if
you don't feel like the complexity / cost of a switch.
The mirror has switched / "retained power" fed to it,
I forget which color wire but easy enough to tell with
a test light, and ground. Short trip from there to the
visor(s) under the moulding.
