$100 shipping

I kinda like it, think it would look good on a silver or black car, maybe on red also.

would look nice on a car with a CF SS hood that has been painted with the CF still showing through like a CF manta stripe or something.

I just talked to the seller who is local to me. Was not willing to let me pick up the part if I won the auction, I'm 15 miles away, and it was quite obvious he is using an extremely inflated shipping charge to make profit, so keep that in mind when bidding. Here is his reply to me:

"Just account for the $100 shipping and handling charge when you bid. Obviously it does not cost $100 to ship the item to you, but it is not cheap to keep thousands of these items in stock, but the main reason is to ultimately lower the total cost to you. By lowering the starting price and increasing the shipping charge helps eliminate ebay fees."

Not saying he can't charge whatever he wants for shipping, but just a heads up on that so you guys don't get carried away on your bids and then have to tack another $100 on top of that.

You know, it's funny because I just saw that on eBay last night and thought "hmph, never seen that before".

It's really suprising to me if these are really "new" to the market. Seems really late for a product introduction.

That quote above could probably get that fella in trouble with eBay.

Looks as though it's a full replacement piece.

Damn, I'm not into carbon fiber but I think that would look good on a black car. I actually like it.

That's good research DEMONBIRD & Parbreak.

Those are some nice items. He sure as hell doesn't have thousands in stock like he quoted, but hell I may want to call this guy and distribute them here on this site.

I'm building the website starting next week, I still have time to ask him to be one of my vendors.

Dang, I was considering one of dp fiberglasses carbon fiber hoods too..... I dunno, that seems pretty pimp!!! but without other carbon fiber pieces to accent it I dunno if it'd look too good on my car....

Glad I could do the legwork for you Now give me a 50% discount on all my stuff. Actually this guy even admitted to what I've been saying for a while in that there is a severe carbon fiber shortage especially for fabricators because it's being bought up by the military and industry. In fact one of the major makers of carbon fiber material is only selling to military interests until after 2007. Sooooooooooooo, expect CF to keep rising in price for a while.

I'm simply a middle man on some of what I'll carry. I'm just planning to skim a slight layer of the price to pay for expenses and new products. I hate to see the price of Carbon Fiber rise, but I'll do my part to take the smallest cut possible.

KNow what you mean. I'm having a "one off" piece made right now, something I can guarantee no one else on here has and it was cheaper for me to send the fabricator my own CF than to have him supply it because I have had mine for awhile and bought it at a very inexpensive cost.
