Custom Center Console
Custom Center Console Made some changes to the center console. Here's some pics after I finished wet sanding it. Just about ready for paint. Major mods include:
1) No more cupholder
2) No more ashtray or ashtray lid
3) No more little storage compartment at the front.
4) Switch plate has been molded into the ashtray compartment.
5) Irregular hole in front is for the pushbutton starter.

I just used some think plastic sheet material bonded to the underside of each hole I wanted to fill. Then used body putty and glazing putty to smooth it out. Even the little notch on the passenger side of the console by the cup holder is filled and smoothed.Bryan

Thanks, I'm a fan of subtle mods too. Makes you look twice wondering what the hell is different. The 4 holes are for 4 rocker switches.

I would like to see a guage next to your push button start, I have one there, so I guess I am biased. I think it would set it off unless you are putting a decal there or something it is too big a space to leave just black.
