i finally got my hockey stripes and my '69 z28 emblems on
the problem is that the emblems fit perfectly on the passenger side but on the driver side, the corner of the Z is not flat on the fender.
should i put more tape on there or try and bend it into place?
and if i try and bend it, how can i do it without damaging the fender or breaking the emblem. i was thinking rubber mallett but im not sure...
any help appreciated

the guy who put it on for me said he tried holding it down for a while, but the emblem just wouldnt budge. Im afraid some a**hole will try and pry the emblem off and keep it for himself. so im considering either putting on more tape or risk the rubber mallett

as far as the emblem adhesive do you mean like a glue? or the tape? if so maybe i could just apply it on the part sticking out...

"cut" it off with fishing line or dental floss
use 3M adhesive remover (auto parts store) to remove the rest of the tape
bend emblem slightly to match contour of body
reattach with new tape

youre gonna have to remove it, strip the old stuff as much as possible, buy 3M emblem adhesive, lay the emblem on it and take an exacto knife and cut out the area you need and attach.

yup exactly! This is very easy. I wore my nike running shoes and stepped on it on the garage floor.
The metal will bend to the shape. I promise!! I didn't put a towel down when I did mine it prob would of helped? I didn't get any scratches or anything though. Did you cut the posts so they are complely flush with the emblem?
