Default 3M Adhesive

I installed my CME and i used the double sided sticky tape, however i dont think its working that good it just doesnt look great. So isnt there like a glue type 3M adhesive i can use instead? it seems to be easier to use and wont be as visible...any help would be appreciated

heres what i did, i used the 3m tape, then i put a jack under the ground effect and boosted it up so you couldnt see the tape, then i used "auto goop" glued from the inside/underside, and let it sit for about 2 hours, holds very strong and you cant see any tape. dunno about what others did.

the 3m glue your referring to is a real pain in the *** because its very tacky and if it gets anywhere, and i mean anywhere on your paint, it will destroy it. the goop dries very gooey like, so if it gets on your paint you can just roll it off, no harm done. also the goop only costs 5.00 and is 2x the size of the 8.00 3m glue.

just my .02

My suggestion is brake-check someone, make them pay to fix your bumper, then blend it. I saw a picture of a black SS on chrome ZO6's that I saved because he blended the valence into the bumper. That looked soooo sweet I'd love to do it on my car.

Oh I know but I thought you could get a body shop to pad their bill for someone else's insurance. It was kind of a joke. I don't have that $ either so I was jokin' about it.

That gluing idea sounds like a good idea. I recently had to replace my CME valance because I hit piece of a tire on the freeway.

The standard 3M tape is too thick.. you can totally see it. I may have to try the glue idea.

That **** will kill your paint if you mess up at all. So long as you dont get it anywhere noticable it will work. Here's what I used:
http://www.amazinggoop.com/

You can grab a free sample and try it out! The stuff does come off if you don't like how it looks, plus its a **** load easier to work with than the 3m.
