Default One off auto shift ****!

the chrome rod is a 1/4 6" extension that i got from walmart, i cut the socket end off and drilled it to be identical with the stock white plastic rod. I cut the black outer tube to expose the rod. The shift **** is from a chrysler 300m and it's accepts a 1/4 rod. came out read nice and unique i think.

The **** looks cool as hell. Question though: how did you make it functional? I don't see a button to engage the shift gate lock. Is it a "push down" style ****?

Here's a suggestion (sp?) for all the auto shifters out there:

If you can get a center console from a 6 speed car, the leather shifter boot goes up to the bottom of the shifter **** and the whole deal looks much cleaner.

Nice job on the 300 shifter swap though. Looks clean.

Are you talking about using just the shift boot and still keeping the console the same, so you have the PRND321 thing still visible?

I gotta agree, if it were a little shorter... Other than that, it looks like a natural.

man it took forever to cut, file and paint the stock black shifter tube to that shape. I'll keep it tall unless if really annoys me.

No. Use the entire 6 speed assembly. The **** goes through the shifter boot and you don't have the PRD321. When the car is in "park" it looks like the shifter is in 3rd gear. (Normal for a 6 speed to be parked in 3rd.)

I had heard once before that you can't shift into first or second with the manual console piece? Does anyone know if that is true or not?

Not true. I've seen it on a real car.

All these "suggestions" are from people who need to knock you down a few notches because their fragile ego's can't handle the idea that somebody might have something that's better than theirs. It looks great the way it is.

I love it! Really goes well with that center console piece you painted up.
