Wow, I didnt get this much response for GOOD mods! thanks for the input guys, I do see what your saying about the thickness. Though we all know the "ram air" is more or less bogus with the cars, I see what you mean appearance wise. I will attempt to thin them out, and then I will try some different torq screws that are smaller, and actually seat into the aluminum, making them flush. I am confident that this could look good, and will go back to the drawing board. Thanks for the critisism.

I say they are definately different. its not bad, its just not right yet. i would make the openings a little bigger, and get some countersink screws (preferably chrome) to replace the black allen screws. certainly nothing wrong with trying something new though.
