Default New appearance mod, YAY or NAY..come on in

Well, I never liked the stock ram air screens, and I wanted to try something different than the other aftermarket screens you see, so I made these. They are made out of polished aluminum, and backed by a stainless steel mesh, that was painted black. I am already sold on them, so they will be staying, but I would like some feedback from you appearance experts, you like the new mod? YAY or NAY..

The closeups show they look home made. The inner edges are unfinished looking - wavering in thickness. And the allen wrench rivet things are too pronounced and it looks like you have more than one type of rivit? The other thing is, even if you don't have a ram air box, it's supposed to look like you want to suck mucho air through them there snorkels. Yet you've closed them off - pinched them. So that seems anti intuitive to even somebody that knows nothing about ram air. You said you're sold on them but you also asked opinions :-) I commented in your other thread that I liked your painted hood tears so you shouldn't put a hex on me for this negativity!

Agree here.

But I think that they are a good rough draft.

They are way too wide, they almost take up the whole opening. With a little more fit and finish I think you could really pull it off.

i dont much care for the thick outer plate, but i give you some major points for going out and being different. I bet if you make that uter band fairly skinny it would look totally awesome

Nope, sorry.

It looks as though you took the air damn off from underneath the front of the car. You might need that for cooling purposes.
