Use your head man. they arent "plug and Play" when your piecing two kits together that were never meant to go tegether. First of all, the ballasts need to stay relatively dry. a goo place on the trans am is on the front bumper support. remove your headlight bezel, and you will see the beam. it has a little lip that holds the ballasts (at least mine) like they were made for it. they should be safe there unless your doing some submersible work with your t/a . You can screw them down, or use some 3m double sided 3x3 squares (works great on my two retros).

no, those have a tendancy to crack over time, and will eventually need to be replaced. the last thing you will want to do is spend time trying to get your expensive ballast off of it.

and if you want to keep it really dry put it in a heat resistant vacuum bag! haha jk! It's hard to find a place on our cars that can stay relatively dry during wet weather! I'm gonna make a little housing for mine when i get my projector housing complete so it will keep a lot of the wetness out!

Oh yea, I keep forgetting.
Here are some pics of ballasts mounted.

Also, good ballasts will be sealed, cheapers one are semi-sealed. Another good reason to go with high qaulity parts. Anyway, you can also make some splash guards, just cover the top, sides and wire connectors of the ballasts.

Hey, RedT/A!

I am the guy with the black WS6 in that last picture. I talked to you at G10 about your HID setup. You ever goone do that how to write up?

I think I got all the details from you, but your setup looks awesome...you should share the knowledge with the board.

Thanks again!

awww crap dude!!! i totally forgot!!! sorry about that. it would take quite a while for a full write up, but im here for help for anyone who needs it. basically, 9and this might sound stupid) but its all about measurments. figure out what you want to use (projector wise) and get the dimensions of it. then, remove you stock sealed beam bulb and start to measure the stock housing. the rectangular piece of metal that actually clamps the bulbs to the housing is a good way do judge wether the overall hiegth of the projector will be too tall to fit well in the housing. also, the thickness of alot of projectors where the bolt holes are are about right to be clamped in the same way as the sealed beam light. it is very easy (at least to me ) to fabricate brackets to hold a projector to the stock fixture. also the beauty of doing such is you can retain your stock adjustment screws. if anyone needs some help, id be mroe than happy to try and lend a hand.

Here's an old write up by VVS6 on his HID projector setup. It's so old though that the pics are not there.

I'll add the pics (I saved them) to the last posts.
