Default Idea for exterior appearance... yay or nay

heres the idea. As you know probably, i have custom red dominate true flames painted by Stryker on the underhood on my car. The car is a black ta with red accents, total black with red theme. I was thinking since the hood has some chips and what not... i had this idea... Think of racing stripes going up my WS6 hood humps, now paint inside the lines of a stripe (not having a striped there or course, but kind of keep a guideline up the hump) with red dominate true flames by stryker. Just have them up the hood ad towards the dash have the flames end with some sputters of flames here and there up at the top of the hood. Look good? Yay or nay.... just an idea, what do you guys think? Note; I already have the custom flames under the hood so it wouldnt be out of place.

I think it could look cool if done right. There is a car with blue true flames on the front and that looks bad ***. Get flames like that in stripe form and I would definately fit with the red accents. I say go for it.

If you do it, I would suggest getting an oem ws6 hood to work with. Just flows better in my opinion. But either way would look sick.

I saw his suncoast in person. I don't know how the ws6 hood flows better. It just bothers me that the ws6 hood has the splitter in the middle making 4 nostrils. Still looks good but its not like that does anything.

I voted "nay" just because I'm not a big fan of true flames.

I wish the people that voted nay would step in and say why? Do you have a better suggestion or jsut not like it at all? Im looking for input here on something cool to the exterior. I feel if i did this to the hood, that would suit my red needs and i'd ditch ram air and side emblems and molding. Too bad you cant photochop true flames to my hood, lol. Everyone here knows Stryker's work. i'm sure it WOULD be done right

I didn't vote yet becuase I'm not sure. Flames will obviously be a theme, but you'll need to have a lil' bit of it behind each fender in front of the doors to tie it all together.

If you only do the hood (unless you decide on ghost flames) the car won't look finished untill you do the fenders.

I vote "hell yes!" only if you're planning to have the fenders done too. The picture in my mind doesn't match without the fenders.

I understand you want racing stripes, but racing stripes run the entire length of the car. So that means the hatch and wing, possibly rear bumper to make it look right as far as racing stripes go.

Since you'll most likely only be striping the hood you'll need the fenders to tie it together, see what I'm getting at?

Yea, any idea how you remove the spoiler? Can you remove just the top part of the spoiler? Maybe i could get the hood and spoiler done?

On a Trans Am the top level of the spoiler simply unbolts from the lower hatch. If you plan on racing stripes that's the minimum to get done.

The t-tops spares you from doing the roof, and although you really should do the lower hatch as well as the wing, you can probably get by with just the wing.

Notice how the cost has just increased by 1/3+ considering the wing?

As for top part of the wing... do you mean the entire spoiler unattached by unbolting from inside the hatch? or the top of the poiler disconnects from underneath the spoiler? it looks like there may be an added top to the spoiler unless its jsut a little line all around it.
