Interior Update! (pics tommorow!)
Interior Update! (pics tommorow!) Ok so interior has about 24-40 man hours left before it is complete. I pick up my re-upholstered seats tommorow! So I'll have pics of that around 4ish eastern time tommorow. What's left!
-Take Old Carpet out, line up new carpet with old and cut necessary holes.
-Carpet the rear seat delete cover
-Lay down sound deadening crap
-Lay in new carpet
-Solder in new LED light bar dome light
-Solder and Wire LED light bar trunk light
-Clear coat, wet sand, clear again, wetsand w/ 2000 grit, buff, polish and wax remaining interior panels, then install!
-Install new gauge cluster
-Install new ebony front dash pad and dash
-Install new steering wheel, shift boot, e-brake boot, and shift **** (black pistol grip!)
-Oh and put in ABS plastis headliner which will be painted gloss black with a ghost firebird on it for a little custom touch! But my dad is going to paint that I don't have the skilllzzzz to do that yet!
-Front window getting tinted at 50% with 5% strip
Shazam I am done! Sounds like a lot but I figure everything minus the clear coat, sanding, and buffing will take me around 2 days work. I've already got the whole back end of the car lay down with the sound deadening material and it works great! No more trunk rattles, squeaks, and the exhaust drone is so much quieter!
I'm just excited that it's almost done! The leds, dash pad, and ABS headliner should all be in this week, then when I get back from vacation in 2 weeks I'll be able to finish it!

oh and if you don't know, I'm converting the interior from craptacular graphite to ebony with hints of red and silver to match the exterior! Oh and the interior panels aren't being painted with a rattle can. I'm using the proper **** to paint plastic with the exclusion of the clear coat. Using mostly all SEM products for the plastic ahesion stuff, sandable primer, and paint. I figure after all that the clear really shouldn't matter! And it's all from a paint gun connected to a compressor for you haters lol.

Started cutting the carpet today and layed down some more sound deadening crap. I had 40 hours of work this week plus 12 hours of school and had to get ready for vacation so I didn't get that much done.
yea its coool except for the road noise and lack of "comfiness" I want to be somewhat comfortable when I'm sporting a muscle car haha. He added some nice thick, soft foam to the new skins of the seats. feels like im driving in a lazy boy!
