To do that would be a big pain in the ***. To ensure you have no gap you'd almost have to paint into the tint. Might as well do it right the first time and paint first, tint later.

Is the tint going to have any trouble sticking to the paint? I'm gonna try painting this today and just want to do it exactly right. What was your process to sand down the edge? That's my biggest worry of messing it up and having to start over. Sorry for all the questions

The tint will stick just fine. After it's cured, you can feel that there's a lip of paint where the masking was. Just use some 800 grit folded up and just take that down a little bit at a time. Fell the edge as you go, you don't want to go thru.

What are you guys doing that have already tinted the rear glass and the dot matrix is bubbled?

Some people have said they cut away the tint where the dots are and mask it off and spray it so the tint stops at the dots.

Remove tint, paint dot area, re-tint.
