302 Ls1 Z28....?
I was sorting threw my pictures today and stumbled across some pictures I have a the Ls1 302 Z28 and decided to google it to see what info I could find. To my surprise I did not come up w/ much! So I decided to post here to see what you guys know! Any specs or links to pages w/ info. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Its a throwback to the legendary DZ-302 cars that ran the NMCA Trans Am circuits back in the late '60s. I bet that destroked LS1 could run to 8000rpm, man that would sound absolutely incredible!

I doubt the car has ever seen a track, it's probably sitting in a museum somewhere.

Nah, it just looks a little different than other F-bodies with the badging and Manta. Plus those wheels look awsome on there.

All I can say is that is one sweet ride I had the opportunity to go for a spin in that beast with Tom Henry one day. She lined up against the other GM car the 2001 ZL-1 that they had oh and she was pretty darn fast too I didn't think the on ramp would come to and end so quickly

That was pretty cool they were doing ride alongs with that. I missed the boat the night it was out quite a few years back. But I did get to meet and talk with Scott Settelmire(sp?).
