Pink fogs and drls :(

Pink fogs and drls :( Hey I just VHT'ed my fogs and drl's on my 98 firebird as well as the side markers and tails. The tails are perfect, the sides are good, besides the fact that the front sides are reddish now instead of yellow (dont think the cops will really bother me for that though). The only thing that pissed me off was that my drl's and fogs are now PINK when i turn them on 
anyone have this happen to them before? im guessin i put too many coats of VHT? thinkin bout strippin it off and just puttin 1 heavy coat or 2 light ones. whats everyone think?

first off i don't like the fact that you covered the fogs just my opinion. second try clear bulbs in the drl's and see if there still pink. you put that lense tint on these am i right? cuz it should be a smoke color not red or pink other than your tail lights those should light red. Get some pics if you could maybe we can analyse better. just my 2 cents. not worth much these days

i dont think the clear bulb will solve it because the fogs have clear bulbs already and they are also showin pink. i would completely take it off and leave it off but i sanded the lenses so that the vht would stick better. little did i know that id be taking it off. that is the reason why im thinkin maybe just one coat of it will do. it will hide any scrathes from sanding and should still shine through clear. im going to do this today once im home from work, ill post some pics when im done

originally it had 3 coats, then of course i fucked it up and had to put a 4th to cover it. Thats why im thinkin i just over did it with the vht. hopefully one coat solves it

as long as the one coat is smooth and no more pink you'll be good don't coat it too heavy you might have to do two light coats maybe sand inbetween coats with a high grit sand paper to make it more smooth than the second light coat. I've never used the vht but, i spray paint alot and when doing a clear coat it can get messed up with too many coats. I try to sand it in between coats usually turns out alright other wise i gata do it all over.

yea yea my damn car looks like a clown car right now if i turn the fogs on cuz i washed off the drl's so they are yellow again, but the fogs are still pink and the headlights are normal. multicolored gayness lol. ill be with my girl all weekend and got class on monday night after work so most likely ill fix everything with 2 light coats on tuesday. unless my girl lets me do it with her haha she actually likes when i work on my car. one thing i promise is that i will post a pic of my pink fogs before i fix em lol

just had anouther thought if you wanted to you go go buy a sheet of thin lexan plastic and use window tint on it and velco it to you lights just a thought tho. it would be like making your own black outs. and they would be removable

yea without pictures we are lost...and you can order covers for your fog lights and daytime running lights. I think they are $40 for everything. They just snap on over the lights, and you can get black. Just a thought....PM me if you want the web address...
