Just curious, why would you want a reverse-open hood? Who knows how much that'd cost to fab up?! I think your money is better spent on other appearance mods.

It's not much different than someone wanting lambo doors on their vehicle. There's tons of people out there with them and I've seen a few on F bodies. I've seen the suicide hoods on 1st gens and 3rd gens but not on a 2nd or 4th gen yet. I'm sure someone out there has done it though. The hardest part is making up all the bracing so it'll open and not rip something off.

I can see it being possible if you use a super light weight hood. You'd also have to seriously beef up whatever you attached it to, methinks.

I thought about doing it before, and did a little research, but in the end, its not worth the $$ IMO...

I assume you'd be asking to be decapitated if you got into an accident, course Im just being cynical. Aside from that, like someone else said, it would be a pain to do anything in the front end of your car without having to remove the damn thing completely.

What crack were you smoking when you came up with that idea?!?! How is it going to do that? Vettes have the reverse hood as well as older Buick Lesabers. They have a catch and a latch on the firewall area so that it latches and can't come off.
