Default the best custom LT1 T/A in the world?

Maybe some of you have seen this, some not. In any case, it always gets the "rice" comments, but this car really is stunning. The amount of talent with fiberglass and carbon fiber...wow. This guy just posted over on the f-bodyhideout and hopefully he doesn't mind me throwing up some of his pictures here on Tech. In terms of custom body work, I think this is pretty dang good. It has some points I don't like, but I put them aside.

Here are a few better pics of carbon detailed parts.

Looks like a lot of work, but not for me. Its probably always tough accepting something very different on our cars because not many people take the bodywork too far (we must be too busy installing power mods lol). I always like the modifications done to that bright green LT1 TA with the C5 side vents and crazy front end with projector HID headlights. I dont have the link for the pics of his car but I'm sure someone can post it.

The problem is that most of us don't like the "tuner" look. That is a nicely done custom though; I can't recall ever seeing a full custom of a 4th gen. I especially like what he did with the front bumper. The only things I'm not digging are the resonators and the wheels. They look disproportionate to the body.

Not bad.

I'm pretty sure this guy's from Finland, so there might be more of a tuner influence given his environment of cars. Yeah I like that green/silver T/A as well.

other than the fin, exhaust and paint i actually dig it, but a deep green/SOM/MMM color would have made it, the purple just looks kinda fagala,

That car is a horrid abomination to American Muscle - and that includes Mustangs.

Yeah, the guy has some skills with body work, but he picked the wrong car to molest like that, IMO.

If the spoiler was ditched, and some diff rims it would look pretty sweet...

I like it somewhat. I would have smaller wheels maybe 18's those look like 20's or bigger. Then I would also go with the stock high rise spoiler, the current one on that car just doesn't seem to flow well. I like the front end mainly cause the LT1's need all the light they can get. To anyone that says it's a poor idea just remember that's your opinion and that there are going to be many people that think something you have done is a poor idea. Maybe you should say why you think it is a poor idea. Your claims will not have any strength though.

i like it. im not in love w/ everything about it, but, i like it. i'd change the hood, i like the whole vent idea on the hood, but, im much more of a fan of one big vent then the 4 small things. i think the 4 small ones really look cheap. im not a huge fan of the spoiler but its done very well, it could be much worse.

Really nice job.

The color is awesome. And overall, it's actually a really cool look. Almost looks like a 2 seater.

However.... carbon fiber on the roof? Clearly he didn't replace the roof, he just slapped C/F over it. And that's assuming it's even real C/F and not just a decal. That is the definition of rice. (and even if he did cut the roof off and replace it with C/F, paint over it. The idea is less weight, NOT show. As I said, that is rice)

If it's a Trans Am, why does it have a Firebird spoiler on it? (and with the front end chopped all to hell, it's impossible to tell)

That car needs to lose the fake C/F, loose those stupid tail lights, pull the C/F out of the vents (which would serve only to block them, assuming they're real), dump those goofy looking intakes, and tone down the front bumper a bit.

Doing all that would reduce the rice factor, and also make it just a touch mor subtle.

It's definitely a neat idea and has potential.

Have you ever noticed that there's no middle ground with you? It's either hate or love, and you're much happier ripping on anything not stock. I remember you from the interior painting thread, your intolerant responses very much resemble the ones in this thread. Damn dude, you act like it's scum.

The roof of the car is the only remotly cool part. our roofs are plastic anyway, you can rip them off

i am with you on this one Jared. the craftmanship is amazing on that car. and honestly i'd drive it. the only thing that i don't like about it is the wing and the damn lights! i love the ls1 or lt1 lights and those just look horrid. but other than that i like that car a lot

i defiantely bow to the craftmanship put into that car, IMO it's really a piece of work
