Default GM Mark of Excellence Badge *PICS*

i was looking at a new Corvette on the road the other day and noticed the new GM badge they are putting on all of their vehicles. i think it looks nice. got on e-bay and found a pair for around $10.

here's a picture of it on the new Vette:
http://z06zone.com/Corvette-C6-Z06-036.jpg

here's a close-up, notice the brushed finish. they measure in at just over an inch:

and here they are on my car :

they are simply taped on right now so that i could see what they look like before i actually place them.

i think it's a nice and subtle addition, especially on silver. i want to know what you all think?

EDIT:
lower. how bout like this? quick PS.

i think i like this better

thanks. and thanks for the comments so far guys. i'm fixing to put them on and try to match the vette location - i like them lower like that.

i think it will look good on any light car - might stick out a bit too much on a darker color but who knows

They are ok, they might look good in the space between the side vents.

What about toward the front most part, or the back most part of the side skirt?

I almost want to do that to my car now! I think it looks really nice, but not sure if I would want to put it there. I think it looks alright on the vette, but just not quite right. Like the silver goes w/ the SOM, but the location isnt right.

Im thinking where the side molding goes inbetween the vent, but right infront of the door would look really nice and subtle?

I'd like to see how it would look on the triangular plastic piece that integrates into the sail panel.

As far as the comment about it only working on lighter colored cars: I agree, but I think it would still work on a dark car if the owner were to hit them with a coat of Nightshades or Metacast "Smoke." Or hell, just paint them body color. You wouldn't even necessarily need to make it a perfect match, just as long as it was close. They're so small it would be almost impossible to tell.

Very remeniscant of the British and Italian cars of the 60's & 70's.
