Default Update on my LS2 deal

Man, been swamped here with stories and such.. I want my car done SOOOOOOOO bad..

Anyways, dressed up the new LS2 a bit. Katech valve covers and coil relocaters with a FAST intake (sanded and painted) and FAST fuel rails. The PS pump and pully are from Turn One and all the pullies were blacked out. I wanted a more industrial look with no chrome.

Oh, ARP now sells bolt kits for the intake, front cover, oil pan, intake and water pump. Much nicer than factory. The headers are termal coated and all I have left to do is install the blacked out f-body oil pan with remote filter adaptor.

The car is busy getting the C5 vette front suspension and 3-link rear suspension. Between this and writing stories I don't have two minutes to rub together..

That looks sweet man. are there similar relocation brackets for the coils on the LS1? i think i like that placement if they would fit in that fashion....

Yea, these are just the LS2 version of thier LS1 kit. This is what they use on the C5.R and C6.R racecars. They allow you to pull the valve covers without removing the coil packs. However you need the rack kit, valve covers and longer plug wires.

I love the "theme." Industrial.... that's a nice looking warehouse.

Congrats, I know all about wanting to get the money pit finished...

That looks very nice Steve, I'm still undecided on "industrial" or "chrome" for the LS7 I'm putting in the '69. Leaning towards chrome since it's more of a showcar and not really a racecar theme.

Going to keep the red fuel rails? Those would look good in brushed aluminum too.

For your car go chrome.. I did the chrome deal and the last few cars, wanted something different.

I have red touches around the car. The sway bar, watts links, calipers are red.. this sorta ties in. Plus the black/silver/grey engine will be stuck in a prowler orange painted engine bay. The red will add just a bit of "pop" to the engine. However, if it was silver or black I would not have minded. My anodizer has a month long backlog. Maybe eventually I will have them done after I see the final look.

Those stainless/nickle XRP fittings are EXPENSIVE.. the ones in that pic are $30 each.. yikes!
