Painting brakes

What kind of paint brand is preferred to paint the brakes i wanna do mine red to match the car the ugly gray and metalic color doesnt look good with my new z06 chrome rims

I used Dupli Color Ceramic Engine Enamel..... But am sure there will be many other choices posted.

I just used Duplicolor engine enamel and clear to paint my brother's calipers...worked great, tons of colors to choose from.

I used VHT for the front brackets, but the auto parts store near me ran out, so I ended up using Duplicolor Engine Enamel for the back calipers and brackets. The Duplicolor spray has larger bubbles, which made it a lot harder to work with. One coat would go on, then I waited a few minutes (like the can says), then I applied the next coat and it bubbled like crazy. After I let it sit for a few minutes, the bubbles sort of worked themselves out, but in a couple spots they ended up getting to the surface and not breaking, so I had lumpy calipers.

VERY thin coats seemed to work best, but it took several tries (and many sessions with a wire brush, stripping off crappy looking paint) to get it right.

I used a kit that had high heat brush on paint. I cleaned the crap out of my calipers with a wire brush and brake cleaner first...turned out fabulous. trying to remember the name of that kit...G2?? do a search on here. You should be able to find it. My friend did his also in too big of hurry. didn't clean good and paint covered it, but mine turned out nice. Bright red just gleams on a white car. it needed something to pop...that did it.
